Even though Joanna is only mentioned very little in the Bible, the way it’s spoken about her proves that this woman is to look up to. Joanna was one of the women who supported Jesus during His time spent on Earth and she travelled with Him during most of his life.
Joanna supported Jesus ‘out of her own means.’ (Luke 8:3)
Owing to her connections, Joanna protected Jesus and the Apostles many times during their journeys. She was the right hand of Herod the Tetrach, a tyrant who, among others, had John the Baptist beheaded.
