1. You’re not asking for it as you should.
We already know that prayers aren’t all about asking favors and complaining about things; they’re also about being grateful and simply talking to the Lord as if He were your friend (which He actually is!). However, sometimes God doesn’t help you because you’re not asking for help in the right way, even though you think you do. What does that mean?
Long story short, here’s the ugly truth about it:
If you’re asking God for something just because other people have it and you don’t, you’re not doing it right.
If you’re asking God for something out of pride (such as a bigger house or a new car), you’re not doing it right. (You can wish for things like that to happen, but if you’re only asking them out of greed, well, that’s not so good for you)
And, of course, if you’re asking God to do something just so He can prove His existence to you (‘If You really exist, God, then send me an Angel from Heaven to protect me if You’re that great‘), it’s definitely not going to happen.
It might sound silly to some of you, but these things actually happen and we all need to figure out the right way to ask for what we really need from God.
If you’re not doing any of these things, but the Lord still hasn’t answered your prayers, keep reading…
