2. You’re not really asking!
Surprising as it may sound, sometimes God doesn’t answer our prayers simply because we’re not really asking for anything. What does that mean? Well, here is an example:
‘Dear Lord, things are very rough for me right now. I have troubles getting along with my spouse and I feel that I’m not that connected with my children anymore. I think it’s because of my job, which makes me stay away from home a lot. Also, I feel there’s not enough money for us to live the lives we wanted. Please help me out. Amen.’
On one hand, this is a great conversation starter with God during your prayer – so if you’re doing that, it’s great! On the other hand, if you expect the Lord to magically fix it, chances are it’s not going to happen. Do you know what you really want? If so, you should ask for it specifically. God wants our lives to be more beautiful every day and He is willing to reach out to us, but if we don’t tell Him what really makes it difficult for us to be happy, we’re just not clear enough with our desires.
But if that’s not the case for you either, just keep on reading this post..
